The McFarland Group Names Alex McFarland Partner
McFarland leads the firm's work with business coaches through the McFarland Method and the Transferable Value Index.
OMAHA, Nebraska, October 8, 2026. The McFarland Group has named Alex McFarland a partner of the firm. McFarland leads the McFarland Method, the firm's work with business coaches, and built the Transferable Value Index with Founder Byron McFarland.
The McFarland Method gives coaches a way to bring transferable value into conversations they are already having with owners, well before an owner is ready to talk about selling. The Transferable Value Index anchors that work. It is 12 questions, takes about four minutes, and looks at two things: how durable the company's earnings are and how dependent the business still is on its owner. Coaches use it to set a baseline, work the issues in regular sessions, and measure again. It tracks whether a business is becoming more transferable over time.
